New Directors Orange Label

With the outstanding success of The Governor’s Cellar Yellow Label Wines a few years back, winning Gold for the Pinot Noir in New York, and other medals for the range. These wines are a development of Antony Mazuran and fellow winemakers wineries in Gisborne / Hawke’s Bay.

Ideal grapes from each vintage area produces well noted wine tastes, easy drinking and medium background oak flavours on the palate. Ideal wines for all occasions.

With the fine quality from our Yellow Label brand, we bring you Directors Orange Label. Outstanding quality of grapes over the years, noting the Pinot Noir from Marlborough ( like a Central Otago, spicy and pepper notes. ) These grapes have really made a solid foundation to build into our new Orange Label brand.

As with the Yellow Label, our new Orange Label wines are well suited tastes of fine fruit, great tannin backgrounds and fine lingering flavours on the palate.

New range are Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Merlot, Rose / Sparkling Rose and Chardonnay.

As with the Yellow Label, these new wines will sell out quite well. Please do visit the Cellar Door, tastings available. New wooden gift box wine packs out now.

New wines ready to drink now, will cellar well over the years.

Cheers,

Antony Mazuran at the Cellar Door.

MICHAEL COOPER REVIEW 'New Zealand Listener'

Mazuran’s Oak Aged Royal 30 Year Old Tawny Port
“From a West Auckland winery founded in the late 1930s, this is a classic expression of the Mazuran ‘port’ style, with an almost liqueur-like intensity, rich, treacly and creamy-sweet. Aged in old Scotch whisky barrels, it is a powerful, deep amber colour, highly perfumed wine, with a tsunami of plum, raisin, prune and spice flavours, seductively sweet and rich.” Michael Cooper review from the New Zealand Listener ( March 11th, 2023. )
